The Designer

Tom, like his father Leo, was born in Waterford City Ireland. From a young age, Tom aspired to follow in his father's footsteps, by participating in the 200-year tradition of fine crystal craftsmanship. As a young boy, Tom recalls going to the factory gate to meet his father in the evening and always dreamt of working for Waterford. Tom's dream came through when he began his apprenticeship in 1986 and his life with Waterford began, learning crystal glass blowing skills & design techniques. Over the years his experience in mouth-blown crystal artistry has made Tom a great asset to the design and production teams. Always a craftsman, Tom's experience in blowing glass and experimenting with new designs and shapes allows him to transform a designer's dream into beautiful, hand-crafted works of art.
