Celebrating Spring
Living in New York City, Edward draws constant inspiration from the shifting seasons. After winter’s long, gray months, spring represents renewal and clarity. He describes the season as all about the return of light, “with warmer weather and longer days, it’s the light that ultimately revives us. I always honor this light in my spring entertaining—hosting daytime parties with open windows or arranging fresh flowers just beginning to bloom. It’s a celebration.”At home, Edward features spring flowers all season long. Inspired by Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement that emphasizes balance, simplicity, and sculptural beauty, Edward uses the Lismore Essence Bowl to create a thoughtfully composed floral centerpiece.Rather than simply filling the bowl, he carefully chooses each stem and deliberately places it to achieve visual harmony and highlight the tulip’s grace. The bowl’s clarity and precision cuts complement this mindful approach, accentuating each color and detail. On his tablescape, Edward utilizes the Lismore Essence Bud Vase to introduce height and dimension, arranging floral branches reaching upward, capturing the eye and drawing attention to the yellow of spring.
